To start scanning receipts, open the Maholla app and click the camera icon at the bottom of the screen.
Follow these tips carefully to ensure you are getting the best scan possible of your receipt:
- Image is clear, with enough light to see it
- Receipt is not stained, smudged, nor crinkled, and no objects or fingers cover the receipt
- The receipt is by itself and laying flat on a solid, dark, and non-reflective surface
- We need to see your receipt's DATE, STORE NAME and TOTAL. For that reason, Maholla Early Access does not currently accept long receipts, but we will very soon 🚀
Please note: Invoices are not accepted.
If you are having issues with scanning and uploading your receipt, first make sure you are connected to the strongest wireless signal available, whether that is a WiFi signal or your mobile data network.
Additionally, make sure both your phone’s software and the Maholla application are updated to the latest versions.
